Organic Milk and Your Baby

If you are a parent thinking of feeding organic milk to your baby you are not alone. This is a trend that is taking off all over the world. The question is: how are you going to decide whether or not to get involved? Many parents are of the thinking that they didn’t have organic milk so it is not important for their baby to have it. On the other hand, some parents are doing whatever they can to give their baby the healthiest life possible.

Demand for organic milk is on the rise; there is no denying this fact. And if it cost the same as regular milk more parents would probably buy it. Unfortunately, organic baby milk usually costs just about twice as much as regular milk. For many parents, especially those who are frugal shoppers, this is an expense that they cannot afford or simply don’t want to add to their budget.

There are many claims that organic milk offers many health benefits. While research does not necessarily back up these claims many parents feel that feeding organic milk is better than not doing so. In other words, research may not show that this type of milk is beneficial but at the same time it is not turning up any negatives either.

What makes milk organic? The USDA will only classify milk as organic if it comes from cows that were never given bovine growth hormones, commonly known as BGH. With concerns that this hormone can lead to certain types of cancers, more and more people are turning to organic milk.

Every parent wants their baby to be happy and healthy from day one. If this sounds like you, and you are not opposed to spending extra money on groceries, you may want to choose organic milk or organic baby formula over more conventional products.
